Anchored Bridges:

Supporting Adolescents Through a Time of Transition

Adolescence is often described as one of the most challenging times of life because it is filled with rapid physical, emotional, and cognitive changes. The turbulence and confusion that unfold during this stage are profound—not only for the young people themselves, but also for their families and community. Teens bring forward questions, energies, and challenges that touch all who interact with them.

As parents, grandparents, teachers, and mentors, many of us feel concern for our youth, but aren’t sure how to offer effective support. In this discussion, Lori Abramowitz from the Neufeld Institute will help cut through the noise of conflicting advice to put the focus on what is most important to see about adolescents.

As a participant, you will be equipped with a deeper understanding of this unique phase of development, including how you can strengthen the adult-teen relationship even as young people seek autonomy and resist authority. Come learn how you and others can serve as anchors for the well-being of our youth as they cross the important bridge from childhood to adulthood.
