Commune with nature’s spirits and rejuvenate your soul at Blue Deer Center.

The Saskawhihiwine River and its shores nourish this land’s ancestral gift of being a place for healing and resolution of conflicting energies. Spend time in this place, enjoy a meal, and settle in for a night around the fire with Grandfather Fire.

What would you like to know about life? About yourself? The powerful, mysterious essence of Fire is one of the world’s first and greatest teachers.

For over 20 years, Grandfather Fire—called “Tatewari” by Mexico’s Indigenous Huichol people—has been sharing teachings, sacred stories and life guidance with people all over the world. During Fire Speaks events, traditional healer Don David Wiley lends his body to the Spirit of Fire so that ancient knowledge of the world and life’s purpose can be shared for the benefit of people everywhere.

Find out more information about this phenomenon here.

Spending an evening with Grandfather is a unique experience. You can ask your most pressing questions—about life’s mysteries, about your biggest concerns. He’ll show you who you are—and your place in the natural world—in an entirely new way.

Grandfather Fire is wise, funny, provoking and astonishingly insightful. He brings stories, teachings and antidotes to the confusion and disconnection that can arise when people drift away from living from the heart.

Grandfather Fire’s stories and lessons about the dynamic interplay of Heart and Mind have helped people find a new way to relate to the world and its challenges. He cuts through doubt, confusion and illusion with a long-view perspective that delivers tried-and-true ways to find connection, compassion, learning, growth and healing.

Release your expectations and open your heart to Divine guidance from the source.

Held at the Blue Deer Center outside Margaretville, NY

This land has been known for millennia as a place where conflict is resolved and illness gives way to balance. Blessed things happen here that cannot happen even a short distance away, for this sacred land offers unique medicine for the spirit that supports transformation.

What people are saying after attending Fire Speaks:

For days after, I kept having these intense visualizations of fire, and I was able to really “feel” the spirit of fire, as something beyond simple burning wood and instead a primeval creative essence. The whole experience seemed to have set a seed deep in my psyche.”
Luke
