Connect with the ancient wisdom of Grandfather Fire in this unique online gathering space. Through selected teachings and meaningful conversation, participants explore timeless insights that can transform their daily lives.
A Journey of Discovery
Walking With Fire isn’t about reaching a fixed destination or finding absolute answers. Instead, it’s an invitation to experience the world through an ancient lens—one that our ancestors embraced thousands of years ago as they gathered around sacred fires for light, warmth, and spiritual connection. This primordial relationship with Fire as a Spirit continues to illuminate our connection to the mysterious web of life.
The Experience
In each session, participants:
- Listen to selected teachings from Grandfather Fire
- Share personal reflections and experiences
- Engage in heart-centered dialogue with other participants
- Discover how Fire’s wisdom can help in their own lives
This relational approach to receiving wisdom helps integrate these teachings more deeply into our lives. Rather than seeking “right” answers, we explore how Fire’s wisdom already flows through our individual experiences—what we call “knowing”—insights that resonate deeply with our true nature and life purpose.

Susan Skinner: After a 9 year apprenticeship, Susan was initiated in 2014 and serves as a Mara’akame (healer and ceremonial leader) in the Huichol tradition. In that tradition, she is on the elder council of the medicine group, Grupo Tatewari. In 2003 she was initiated as a Granicera in the Nahua weatherworking tradition. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Sacred Fire and has been an initiated Firekeeper for 20+ years.
Besides her spiritual paths, she is deeply steeped in community, family, and as a business owner, her work and experience in life is vast and varied. She currently resides in Summertown and Nashville TN.
