I wonder what my life would be like if I weren’t overtly moving through my days using a spiritual compass.
Though I’ve been trained as a scientist, it is my regular touching in with Mystery that supports me when, in fact, bad things happen: to me, to others, to entire nations. At those times, I do my best to stay open to guidance that comes in the form of unexpected insights, synchronicities or other signals from the world around me. Following such guidance has led to the rich network of friends and life experiences that I now enjoy.
This insight was summed up, in one sentence, during an Audience with Grandfather Fire, October 2021. Allow me to paraphrase: Being on a spiritual path does not mean the gods give you a free pass to an easy existence; it is, in fact, how you meet the challenges along the way that makes for a precious life.
Upon my exit from stage “Life on Earth as Christine,” I’d like to know that I have fully savored and celebrated this precious gift of conscious embodiment, even as I point to a harvest of difficult moments that I met with gratitude, courage, and non-resistance. I’d also like to know that I have inspired others during their own difficult times, helping them give birth to more of themselves during this brief time we share in relationship with each other and All That Is.
Christine Staub, in addition to being a family physician, is a wife, mother, grandmother and a Sacred Fire Firekeeper.
