“Life must be more diverse and creative and built to offer more than just, ‘How do I protect myself? How do I get away with not being destroyed by something?’
“Part of this has to do with having courage – courage to face your fears. When you learn to generate courage, you begin to observe when you are living life out of fear. You will start to see how it has closed down your senses and has affected your experience of work and of relationships, and it feels like you are dying.
“So, you look around for another option.
“‘The only way for me is to unseat my overriding fears and concerns.’ Then, of course, the mind says, ‘Oh, I can’t do that. If I let it go, I’m going to drive off a cliff!’ And then you have a conundrum! You feel fearful so you have to hold on, and the more you hold on, the more fearful you get. At some moment, you get a little whisper in your ear from Me. ‘You’ve got nothing to lose; take that little step, and say okay!'”
